Japan Islamic Trust (JIT) has been helping and serving Muslim community in Japan from a few decades. JIT at Otsuka Masjid arranges various activities some of them are; seminars, lecture series, Islamic Camp, Quran/Hadith classes, Arabic classes from time to time.
Foundation of Masjid Otsuka
The idea of Otsuka Masjid grew out of the concerns of Muslims living in Central Tokyo in the 70s and 80s who wanted to educated their children according to Islamic principles. Initially the JIT rented a place near Ikebukuro Station (1995-1999) until the Masjid was completed in December 1999.
IISO-K , a regular 4- day/week kindergarten under JIT has an experience of more than 10 years of teaching fundamentals of Islamic education from a very young age.
IISO-K focuses on Tarbiyyah along with play, excursions, daily outdoor activities and Quran memorization.We believe that Islamic awareness is essential for Muslim children in Japan.
